The name MagVenture is a combination of the words Magnetic Stimulation and Adventure. Accordingly MagVenture is a combination of "adventure" and Tonica's desire to "venture" further into the future as the leading developer and producer of Magnetic Stimulators. MagVenture (a sister company of Tonica A/S) has worked with research, development and production of the magnetic stimulators for more than 15 years. The family of magnetic stimulators are named MagPro, the "Professional Magnetic Stimulator". MagPro is a complete line of non-invasive magnetic stimulation systems designed for clinical examinations and utilised for research within the areas of neurophysiology, neurology, rehabilitation and psychiatry. The first MagPro was introduced in 1992 and the MagPro series of today addresses a wide range of clinical and research applications including Motor Evoked Potentials (MEP), Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) and Functional Magnetic Stimulation (FMS).
